Acacia's Arrival from Walt and Lisa Niemczura
According to the Pacific Cup web site, Acacia reported their finish at 15:10 (3:10 pm) HST on July 28th, 2008. Congrats Acacia and crew!
I just spoke with Bob who reports that he has just had his 3rd mai tai at the Kaneohe Yacht Club in Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, Hawaii.

Almost exactly the same elapsed time as 2004? Are my calcualtions right? Congratulations on a fun and safe passage!!!!!!!! TomT
Tom: your calculations are correct. Our elapsed time was only 1 hour and 33 minutes different (longer!) than in 2004. Amazing, given the different route, different sailing conditions, and different approach to sail changes, that the times should be that close over a 2000+ mile distance.
